ALBAWABA - Khalil al-Hayya, Head of the Political Bureau of Hamas, was reportedly killed in the Israeli airstrike that targeted the movement's office in Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday, a Hamas source confirmed to Al Arabiya.
According to Al Arabiya, Khalil al-Hayya was reportedly killed along with Zaher Jabarin, Khaled Meshaal, and Nizar Awadallah during their meeting in Qatar's Doha city.
However, Sources to Al-Araby TV reported on Tuesday that the Hamas delegation survived the assassination attempt.

On the other hand, Israeli Channel 14 reported, citing an Israeli official, that the army attacked Hamas leaders in Qatar, including Khalil al-Hayya and Zaher Jabarin, and it is waiting for the results.
Several blasts were reported in the Qatari capital, Doha, on Tuesday, as Israel targets senior Hamas officials.

Smoke was seen rising over the Katara District following the explosion sounds, an eyewitness said, Reuters reported.
The Israeli army released a statement confirming targeting Hamas officials in Qatar, but stressed that "prior to the strike, measures were taken in order to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and additional intelligence."
The Israeli army wrote on Tuesday, "The IDF and ISA conducted a precise strike targeting the senior leadership of the Hamas terrorist organization."
