ALBAWABA - In a recent development, Hamas has issued its response to the Qatar-Egypt framework agreement after consultations with its leadership and resistance factions.
Approaching the proposal with positivity, Hamas aims to secure a comprehensive ceasefire, halt aggression against its people, ensure relief, shelter, and reconstruction efforts, and lift the blockade on Gaza. Additionally, the agreement seeks to facilitate a prisoner exchange operation.
Acknowledging the pivotal role played by Egypt, Qatar, and other nations striving to halt the relentless aggression against the Palestinian people, Hamas underscores its commitment to defending its people's rights.
Furthermore, during a press conference in Doha with his American counterpart, Antony Blinken, Qatari Prime Minister stated, "I would like to inform the media that we have received a response from Hamas regarding the general framework of the agreement concerning hostages. The response includes some comments on the framework, but overall, it is a positive response."
With steadfast resolve, Hamas, alongside national forces and factions, remains dedicated to ending the occupation and securing the legitimate national rights of Palestinians in their homeland and sacred sites.
In response, a senior Israeli official stated that Hamas has presented demands that are impossible to accept. Meanwhile, Blinken stated that Israel will discuss Hamas's response to the initiative tomorrow with the Israeli government.
