ALBAWABA - Following a raid by the Palestinian National Authority in Tulkarm, a young Palestinian was announced dead and it is believed that it was by Palestinian Authority fire.
In a statement released following the killing of Abdelqader Zakdah, Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qasem said that it is utterly unacceptable for the Palestinian Authority to attack those who were protesting against the removal of roadblocks to hinder the entry of the Israeli forces into the Tulkarm camp in the West Bank, resulting in the killing of a young man.
A number of the family and friends of Abdelqader Zakdah, who was killed earlier in Tulakrm, angrily marched through the young man's funeral, demanding accountability.
The Tulkarm Brigade, a small group of armed men involved in resisting the Israeli occupation, issued a statement condemning the use of lethal force by PA officers, accusing them of firing at residents, Middle East Eye reported.
"The security services opened fire on the brigade [members] and other residents, seriously wounding a young man,", "we won’t remain silent, and we will not tolerate this deadly violation and actions that help the occupation". the group said in a statement.
According to Talal Dweikat, the PA security services spokeswoman, a gunman opened fire at the Tulkarm governorate building, leading troops to take "necessary measures to restore order".
