Gunmen killed two guards and injured another after they attacked the South Korean embassy in Libya's capital on Sunday, AFP reported.
Security sources said the unidentified militants drove by in a vehicle and fired shots in front of the Tripoli compound. Seoul's foreign ministry told AFP the three South Koreans, including two diplomats, working in the building were unharmed.
"We do not know whether the attack targeted the embassy or the Libyan (security) officers," the official told AFP.
Militans in Libya have often been carrying out attacks. Instability in the country has led to violence among rival factions since the revolution in 2011.
