ALBAWABA - Despite efforts to restore peace to the tense disputed region, gunfire was heard around Nagorno-Karabakh as tensity is at all times high between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
An AFP journalist in the city confirmed reports that gunfire and some blasts could be heard in the hub, as negotiators gathered in the town of Yevlakh to discuss the territory's full integration into Azerbaijan.
This comes after the Russian defense ministry announced that a ceasefire will be taking place in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region in coordination with Russian peacekeeping forces.
