Just two weeks after the roaring success of Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2007, the airline is all set to bring another international motor event to Bahrain –The Gulf Air Bahrain International Motor Show (GFBIMS).

Organised by Auto Collection- a company specialising in auto trade, events and publishing, the event will be held at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) from 1 to 3 May 2007.

Labelled as the first ever event of this kind, the GFBIMS has already attracted quite a few top international brands such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Harley Davidson, Hummer and Aston martin, to name a few.

"Gulf Air and Bahrain have made an indelible mark in the motorsport atlas with the four successive and successful Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix events," says Gulf Air Vice President Marketing and Sales Lee Shave.

"Becoming the title sponsor of Gulf Air Bahrain International Motor Show perfectly fits in this perspective. This event, I am sure, will sustain and further enhance the hype, excitement and interest created by the recently concluded Grand Prix 2007, among motor sports lovers."

The three-day show includes several events such as a grand line up of latest models of top sports cars at the pit-stop garages in BIC, test-drives at the BIC track and an used-cars show – the biggest of its kind- to enthrall motor sports aficionados.

"We have been working on this event concept for several months and it is now a reality," says Auto Collection Founder and Managing Director Wassim Sami Farhoud.

"The interest towards race cars and motors ports among Bahrain residents - young and old- has been growing phenomenally what with the Kingdom playing host to so many international events.

"The Gulf Air Bahrain International Motor Show has revived a shot in the arm with the national carrier Gulf Air becoming the title sponsor of the show, who is already the title sponsor of Bahrain Grand Prix.”

The event will be a fantastic treat for car lovers as they can see their latest dream machines on display- all under one roof and get a unique opportunity to test-drive their favourite cars in the state-of-the-art BIC track.

They can also pick-and-choose a car of their choice from one of the biggest used-car shows at the venue.
