Dubai, Rental Solutions & Services LLC (RSS), a global provider of air-cooled temporary power & cooling services, successfully installed the largest temporary cooling plant in a single package at The Palm, Dubai.

Palm District Cooling, a leading district cooling provider in the Middle East is committed to supply its customers with a reliable cooling solution during the construction stage of The Crescent, The Lost World and The Atlantis Hotel at The Palm Jumeirah.

They were able to install an extra 2,424 TR to their existing 5,252 TR air-cooled chiller package. They have completed this installation 2 days prior to the deadline. The temporary chiller plant consist of 38 air-cooled chillers producing a total capacity of 7,676 TR at the customer’s design conditions.
Equipment:
Power: 16 acoustically containerised generators ranging from 800KVA to 1,500KVA
Chillers: 38 air-cooled chillers in duplex configuration.
Hoses: pre-insulated flexible rubber hose certified to 10 bar.
Pumps: 19 x 45 lts/sec
Valves: numerous number of double regulating, non-return valves & isolation valves.
Results:
The system is designed to achieve an 8.8° C Delta T with a leaving water temperature of 5° C in ambient temperatures of 46° C.
Beneficiaries:
The Crescent Construction Site, The Atlantis Hotel and The Lost World Theme Park.
