The Holy Month of Ramadan has always been recognized as a month of charity and giving, and for organizations that rely solely on the generosity of individuals and corporations to fund their operations, it is probably the most important and crucial time of the year. This was the case for Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans, a non-governmental organization founded by her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah with the vision for giving orphaned and abandoned youth of Jordan hope for a better future.

In an effort to effectively gain awareness and encourage donations by the public, Al-Aman Fund launched last Ramadan an advertising campaign in collaboration with the Greater Amman Municipality, of which the latter became the Fund’s outdoor media sponsor. The Mayor of Amman, Omar Maani, said, "Our sponsorship of the last outdoor media campaign launched by Al-Aman Fund stemmed from our belief in the importance of the responsibility that Al-Aman Fund is carrying out in supporting orphans and helping them become successful and productive members of society.  GAM believes in building communities and cultivating good citizenship and by partnering with organizations like Al-Aman Fund we are achieve these goals. Having sponsored the Fund’s latest campaign we did not only take part in spreading the word of a very good cause, but we also set an example for other individuals and corporations that harbor thoughts for sponsoring worthy causes."

Ms. Maha Saqqa, Executive Director of Al-Aman Fund, commented, "It was very important for us to increase awareness of Al-Aman Fund among the general public. The Fund is the only organization in Jordan that offers post-care to orphaned and abandoned youth that have graduated from care centers, which makes our responsibility all the greater. By supporting these youth, we are not offering them a short term solution, but rather the opportunity and the tools they need to become self-reliant successful members of society." She added, "On this occasion, we would like to thank the Greater Amman Municipality for taking part in this effort and would like to express our appreciation for their help in allo wing Al-Aman Fund to take one more step towards securing a brighter future for the orphaned and abandoned youth of Jordan. We plead to every Jordanian to take a similar stand and donate "AL Zakat" to provide a roof, food, health care and an education opportunity to our orphaned children by calling our donations hot line 5330500

It is important to note that Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans is an independent non-governmental organization founded in 2006 by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah. This is done by operating five Support Schemes responsive to their needs. Those who wish to make a contribution can do so by making donation deposits in the Fund's bank accounts, placing standing orders at their banks to transfer periodic donations to Al-Aman Fund, placing donations in Al-Aman Fund donation boxes, calling the Donations Hotline at 06 533 0500, or visiting Al-Aman Fund's website at www.alamanfund.jo.
