GREAT Goes the Extra Mile with Property Leasing Department A friendly, honest and straightforward attitude

GREAT PROPERTIES, a UAE-based real estate agency, has officially announced the launch of its leasing department, promising customers honest and friendly service and setting GREAT PROPERTIES apart from other agencies locally and regionally.

“We are property consultants offering our customers the guidance they need to help them find their home or commercial space – this is not an easy task, and we take it to heart,” said Rose-Marie Kilzi, GREAT PROPERTIES Leasing Director. “Even if it takes weeks, we regularly follow up with our customers and make sure they are happy. I see this as the biggest reward for my staff and I.”

Recently established under the direction of Kilzi, GREAT PROPERTIES’ leasing department offers customers a wide range of property consulting and leasing services ranging from commercial leasing, long and short-term residential leasing as well as property management. With over 10 years leasing experience in the UAE market, Kilzi has witnessed the real-estate boom in the UAE and knows the ins and outs of the rapidly growing sector. She is also adamant on only employing senior property consultants with extensive years of experience in the UAE’s real estate industry.

“All my staff are senior property consultants and are certified by the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA). They must achieve this certification as part of GREAT PROPERTIES’ training and staff development scheme,” added Kilzi.

Kilzi also cites the extremely friendly and straight-forward attitude of her consultants, which is particularly important in attracting customers and making them feel at ease. To date each consultant leases between 6-10 properties a month.

Commenting on the challenges the leasing sector in the UAE is facing, Kilzi cites the continuous increase in prices, set by landlords, which can often reach 400 per cent. While tenants can take their case to RERA, it is often time consuming and many are discouraged to follow through with procedures even though their case can be won.

“The Abu Dhabi and Dubai governments have been taking important steps to regulate the leasing sector and stabilise prices. Starting in 2005, the Abu Dhabi government put a rent cap on rent prices. In 2006 the Dubai government followed suite and in 2008 also established RERA. Tenants should be encouraged to use these means to protect their rights and put a stricter watch on landlords.”

GREAT PROPERTIES leasing department has its eyes set for local and regional expansion within the next 2-3 years and currently serves Dubai and Sharjah markets. The department will also be announcing projects exclusively for lease by GREAT PROPERTIES in the near future.
