grapheast records 40 per cent increase in revenues and channel breadth for first half of 2007

Growth prospects remain upbeat as Grapheast intensifies marketing initiatives with launch of new products at GITEX 2007

Grapheast Middle East, a leading graphics solutions provider and software distributor, has announced that it has posted a record 40 per cent growth in revenue and channel breadth in the first half of 2007, and is poised to further consolidate its market presence with its participation at GITEX Technology Week 2007 at Stand 430, Hall 4 of the Dubai International Convention Centre from September 8 to 12. Grapheast unveiled at GITEX 2007 a new range of innovative solutions from the world's foremost technology manufacturers as part of its ongoing growth initiatives aimed at further improving revenue streams and expanding its network of partners.

"Since we started operations in 1996, we have dedicated our efforts towards customer satisfaction by delivering top-of-the-line solutions to our resellers and end-users. We have not limited our work on introducing new products but have also made high-impact initiatives to ensure significant market reach for the international brands we carry. We believe GITEX is an invaluable tool in fulfilling our marketing objectives, particularly at this time when both current growth and future prospects are at an all-time high," said John Boutros, General Manager of Grapheast.

With its broad business scope, Grapheast has maintained three dedicated divisions – Distribution, Image and Solution – each with a specific business focus and all committed to ensuring total satisfaction of the company's varied client base. Grapheast's Distribution division handles marketing and distribution of products, maintains an extensive network of over 3,000 resellers and sub-distributors, and delivers Adobe, Corel, FileMaker, Extensis and Maxon, among other leading brands, across various markets in the region.
The Image division has been tremendously successful in distributing Corbis images in addition to its own image library of local content. The Solution division takes charge of high-end, specialized products such as the new ORIS solutions for colour matching and ink saving, QUATO calibrated monitors, Pantone products and Pantone ink for Epson printers, in addition to developing its own products for the graphics and publishing industry.

Grapheast has a long history of close ties with the most prominent global technology companies. In 1996 Grapheast was appointed as Adobe reseller and subsequently recognized as sole distributor in 2003 because of its broad capabilities and excellent performance. Since then, Grapheast has developed and created value-added features to complement Adobe’s solutions such as a wide range of Arabic fonts specially designed to work with Adobe Arabic products. Moreover, the company has also been credited with influencing almost all of the advertising and design agencies to use Adobe products.

In 2007, Grapheast was appointed by Pantone and Maxon as exclusive distributor in the MENA region. With its expanding portfolio of technology partners, Grapheast has also extended its geographical scope and has recently appointed 800 new resellers in Saudi Arabia, further strengthening its status as the region’s leading graphics solutions provider.

"Grapheast has always led the way in presenting pioneering solutions to a customer base that encompasses several industries through our extensive dealer network, which we continue to expand annually in order to meet and even exceed the expectations of our partners and resellers. We believe that it is our passion for excellence that has placed us at the forefront of the regional graphic industry, bringing the latest technologies through strategic partnerships with global giants as well as providing innovative, value-added services that have significant impact in the development of the industry," said Boutros.

Some of the newly developed products Grapheast launched at GITEX 2007 include the arPix Professional, FileMaker Pro Arabic version, a range of Easy plug-ins, and the first Arabic type book. The arPix Professional is a stand alone utility for both Mac and PC that will be distributed for free to help users type Arabic text using Latin-based applications that do not support Arabic such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro and Flash. With tailor-made solutions and programming capabilities, the FileMaker Pro has been one of the most successful products distributed by Grapheast, and it is poised to further improve sales performance with the launch of the FileMaker Pro Arabic version. Grapheast will also unveil its new Graphics and Photography Bookstore, which will be a key resource facility for designers and photographers, who no longer need to travel great distances to go to bookshops as they can just browse Grapheast's online store to order the books and have them delivered.
