The management and team of Grand Hyatt Amman recently welcomed their new Director of Rooms; Roy Tomassen, new Pastry chef; Fayssal Al Aridi and new Italian chef; Massimo Falsini.
Roy, a Dutch national, a graduate of the Hotel Management school Leeuwarden, started his hotel management career in Amesterdam before moving to work in several renowned hotels in London. He afterwards joined the team of Hyatt Regency the Churchill-London as a Front Office Manager before moving to join the executive team of Grand Hyatt Amman as the director of Rooms.
Fayssal, the hotel's new Pastry chef, comes exclusively from Beirut to share his long and rich experience and introduce to pastry and dessert lovers new delights and unique creations. Fluent in three languages, Fayssal finished his hotel management education in Beirut, began his career with several Intercontinental properties in Lebanon before choosing to join the team of Grand Hyatt Amman.
A perfect combination of authentic Italian cuisine and modern Italian tastes is what Chef Massimo; L'incontro's new Chef de Cuisine, has come to introduce. Born and raised in Rome, Massimo received his Food & Beverage Manager degree before moving to the USA where he later gained his Bachelor's degree in Business administration and Accounting. However, Massimo followed his passion for cooking and authentic Italian gourmet by gaining extensive knowledge and experience at several signature Italian restaurants mainly in Rome and the USA. Massimo now joins Grand Hyatt Amman with unique ideas for this award-winning restaurant.
