The 14th Matterhorn Eagle Cup taking place in Zermatt, Switzerland is beckoning UAE golf fans looking for a relaxing escape from the summer’s sport stopping heat.
The competition, set to tee off on 6th August, takes places at the Riffleberg in the lofty Gornergrat area at almost 3000 metres above sea level.

The invitation-only tournament is contested on a 9-hole stroke-play golf course surrounded by a natural alpine meadow.

With its Olympic standard Super pipe it has become a practice ground for many of the world’s champion boarders who struggle to find snow elsewhere through the summer months.
There are also 400 kilometres of well marked walking and hiking routes which take you through pine-scented mountain forests, along the shores of calm Alpine lakes and to the ice-blue glaciers.
