A German convicted hacker who turned an Internet millionaire is offering of a $10 million reward for information on the US terror attacks and the prime suspect, Osma Bin Laden, reported CNN.com and agencies.
Kim Schmitz, 27, says he has been contacted by thousands of people from around the world in response to the offer, which he placed on his website.
He told Reuters, "Of course, we cannot say what's true or not. But we will forward all of it to the FBI."
Federal Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Cindy McCraw in Washington, D.C. said she could not comment on how useful the tips might be without having seen them, said the CNN.
Although not familiar with Schmitz, McGraw said: "But any tips, we'll take a look at."
Schmitz launched his campaign the day after Tuesday's attacks in New York and Washington.
He appealed for information about Saudi-born dissident Bin Laden, suspected by US authorities as having coordinated the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, said the report – Albawaba.com
