Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili arrived in Tehran on an invitation by Iranian President Mohammad Khatami for a four-day official visit.
He was greeted at Tehran`s Mehrabad International Airport by the Minister of Finance and Economy Safdar Hosseini and will be officially greeted by Khatami in Sa`dabad Cultural Complex Wednesday morning, according to IRNA.
Saakashvili is accompanied by the minister of energy, foreign affairs and education and science.
He is expected to hold talks with Khatami and Head of Expediency Council (EC) Ali Akbar Hashemi-Rafsanjani.
During his stay in Tehran, the two sides are scheduled to
sign several economic and cultural agreements and a declaration on joint cooperation between the two nations' presidents. (Albawaba.com)
