Genius Computer Technology, a leading IT distribution company and solution provider in the Middle East, today relocated its regional headquarters and operational facilities to the company’s new premises in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza). The 5,500 square-meter-office was officially inaugurated by Ibrahim Al Janahi, Vice President, Commercial Sales, Jafza, accompanied by a group of senior officials.

Jafza’s emergence as the Middle East’s premier business hub has led a host of leading regional and international companies to shift base to the free zone, so as to take advantage of the facilities and incentives it offers investors. Genius Computer becomes the latest high-profile company to follow this trend.

“Jafza’s infrastructure facilities are truly world-class, and setting up operations here would enable us to derive significant business benefits. With state-of-the-art warehousing facilities and centralized logistics, we will now be able to take care of our rapidly increasing sales volume and product lines,” said Milad Jabbour, President and CEO, GCT Ltd. “This infrastructure investment will allow Genius Computer to offer our channel community and end-users, globally competitive services in terms of technology, price, timely shipments and deliveries, and excellent after sales service.”

Ibrahim Al Janahi, Vice President, Commercial Sales, Jafza, said, “There has lately been a renewed investor interest in Jafza, as evidenced by the growing number of companies that have chosen to open new offices in the free zone or relocate existing facilities there. We are pleased to welcome Genius Computer to the burgeoning list of industry leaders operating in Jafza, and we are committed to provide every possible support to them.”

Genius Computer is the authorized distributor for KYE Systems Corporation in the Middle East, CIS and Africa. The peripherals and applications from the Genius line-up, including wireless solutions, home and personal entertainment systems, fax modems, networking hardware, multimedia, speakers, scanners and mice, are rated as the best in the industry.

Jafza offers a host of advantages to companies setting up operations in the free zone, such as a business environment free from red tape, zero duties on all import and export goods and machineries, modern communication facilities and excellent support services. More than 5,000 companies from over 120 countries, including about 150 Fortune 500 companies, have set up facilities at Jafza.
