GCC Ministers Cite Aramco Example for Saudization

Labor Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) cited Saudi Aramco company for having successfully implemented the Saudization program, reported Saudi Press Agency.  

More than 84 percent of the company's workforce, estimated at 54,076 employees, was nationalized by the end of 1999, said the agency. 

Gulf countries have started programs to nationalize major projects, including oil, banking and civil service sectors. 

There are about seven million foreign workers in the kingdom, most of them are Asians – Albawaba.com
