GCC Justice Ministers to Set up Human Rights Body

The justice ministers of the six Gulf countries (GCC) are expected to conclude their current 13th GCC meeting in Manama by setting up a human right committee and an internet home-page. 

Bahrain’s justice and Islamic affairs Minster Sheikh Abdullah bin Khaled Al Khalifa said during the opening speech that the participants would mull suggestions concerning the creation of a human right committee and an internet home-page.  

GCC secretary general Jamil Al Hujailan was quoted by Kuwait’s official news agency (KUNA) as saying that the GCC region accomplished many positive steps especially in the orientation field under the framework of Islamic laws which emphasized the importance of resuming such cooperation among GCC states.  

Al Hujailan added that the meeting includes a number of important issues topped with GCC law and regulations edited by special experts committees as a unified system for juveniles – Albawaba.com
