Interior ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) pledged on Tuesday to step up their joint fight against terrorism, extremism, money laundering and drug trafficking, reported the Gulf Daily News.
A communiqué following a consultative meeting in Bahrain vowed “intensified security cooperation and coordination against these evils.”
“These are dangerous criminal phenomena,” said the communiqué, cited by the paper.
The ministers exchanged views on vital security matters concerning GCC citizens, in the light of significant regional and international developments and changes, based on the principle of GCC collective security, said the paper.
The ministers praised measures to mobilize GCC citizens and decided to continue boosting them.
They also ratified easing the flow of commodities and trade exchange, in harmony with implementation of their economic agreement, said the paper - Albawaba.com
