Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdel Rahman al-Ateyyah said Saturday that the GCC foreign ministers would meet in the Red Sea city of Jeddah instead of Riyadh next Thursday.
The Secretary General told the Kuwait News Agency that the talks were still continuing between the GCC general secretariat and the GCC states to specify the date of holding the consultative summit of the GCC leaders.
He added that the ministerial council might be expected to convene next Tuesday in the Saudi capital Riyadh, however decided to meet in Jeddah on Thursday. The consultative summit might be expected to be held in the last week of May in Saudi Arabia. (Albawaba.com)
