At least 15 Palestinians, including a child, were killed by new Israeli raids Wednesday against Gaza. The child Abdelrahman Majdi Naim was killed and another wounded during an attack on Naama building, said a spokesman for the emergency services, Ashraf al-Qoudra.
The strike targeted the sixth floor of the building, already hit yesterday.
During the day, a four year old girl was killed in an Israeli strike on Nusseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza. Six Palestinians were killed in raids on Gaza City and three others in Jabaliya and Khan Yunis.
Some 150 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip and 1000 injured since the beginning of the Israeli operation against the Palestinian enclave a week ago.
Meanwhile, diplomacy is running at full swing to reach a truce. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has arrived in the afternoon in Cairo. She held talks with Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi, who is involved in the efforts for a truce.
Earlier, in the West Bank she met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon returned Wednesday to Cairo to meet President Morsi, it was learned from the Egyptian presidency. Mr. Ban arrived Monday evening in the Egyptian capital for talks with Foreign Minister Mohammed Kamel Amr, then on Tuesday morning he met with the Secretary General of the Arab League Nabil al-Arabi and Egyptian Prime Minister Hisham Qandil. He then visited Israel and the West Bank.
Earlier in the day, Ban Ki-moon has called from Ramallah to "immediately" halt Palestinian rocket attacks, saying it was time for diplomacy.
