Gaza Strip: Six Palestinians die by Israeli fire

At least three Palestinians were killed and 15 others were wounded as Israeli tanks bombarded residential area in the northern Gaza Strip, medical and security sources said. Hospital sources told WAFA that nurse Sadi Naim 30, Sadeq Nasser 27 and another Palestinian were instantly killed during the Israeli bombardment.

 

Security sources reported that the Israeli tanks shelled al-Nada Towers neighborhood, north of Gaza. Several Palestinians, including children, were wounded as the tanks targeted the houses.

 

An old woman and her grandson were killed Monday evening by Israeli fire while they were riding a donkey cart north of Gaza, medical sources and witnesses said. Medical sources said that Khairiya al-Attar 62, and her 13-year-old, Ibrahim al-Attar, were instantly killed, and others wounded, during the Israeli bombardment of Beit Lahia Town, north of Gaza.

 

Another child died as the Israeli artillery renewed its bombardment against northern Gaza Strip. Security sources said that Israeli artillery shelled al-Nada Towers neighborhood, north of Gaza, instantly killing a child girl and wounding others.

 

Earlier, Palestinian Ministry of Health said Monday that Israeli fire killed 39 first aid workers, doctors, ambulance drivers and nurses since its military operation "Summer Rains" on June 28, 2006.

 

Elsewhere, Israeli occupation forces nabbed Monday 11 Palestinians in separate raids in the West Bank cities of Hebron, Tulkarem and Bethlehem, security sources told Wafa.
