Gaza Strip: At least nine Palestinians dead by Israeli fire

At least nine Palestinians died pn Monday as a result of the Israeli raids on Gaza Strip.

 

An Israeli air strike killed a Palestinian and seriously injured another in the Gaza Strip before dawn Monday, medical officials said. The Israeli army said it had fired at a group that was preparing to fire rockets into Israel.

 

Israeli aircraft also attacked a vehicle carrying Hamas members in Gaza early Monday, injuring five Palestinians, including an 8-year-old girl, sources reported. Palestinian security sources said the group included armed men from several factions, including Hamas.

 

Later, two Palestinians were killed as an Israeli warplane raided a civil car in the Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis, medical sources said. They told WAFA that Mohammed Khalifa 24, and Ra'id Abu Salah 25, died on the spot.

 

In the meantime, a fifteen-month-old died Monday morning of wounds he sustained earlier when Israeli drone targeted a house in the south of the Gaza Strip(GS) last month, WAFA said. The child Khaled Wahba, died due to his serious wounds, when a missile hit the house of Abdel Kader al-Barbarawi in al-Qarara town, north of Khan Younis city on June 21, where his pregnant mother was killed and eleven others were wounded.

 

On Monday night, An Israeli air strike on the northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Hanun Monday killed four Palestinian civilians, Palestinian security sources said. The sources identified the four civilians killed in the attack as Ahmed Ghaleb Abu Amsha, 15, Ahmed Fathi Shayat, 15, Raji Dheifallah, 16 and Mahmoud Farid Mutir, 14.

 

According to the sources, an Israeli plane fired missiles on the teenagers as they were playing soccer in the field outside of the agricultural college in Beit Hanun. Minutes earlier another Palestinian was killed by Israeli fire near the Karni crossing.

 

Just after midnight Sunday, an Israeli aircraft attacked a building on the outskirts of Gaza City, setting it on fire, Palestinian witnesses said. No injuries were reported. The strike mostly destroyed the building.

 

A Palestinian civilian was killed and 11 others injured in other Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip on Sunday. The civilian was identified as Bilal Sliman Rabah, an 18-year-old supermarket clerk. He died by an Israeli aircraft which launched missiles at a car carrying Hamas operatives in the south Gaza town of Rafah Sunday afternoon.

 

Late Sunday evening, an Israeli aircraft fired at a second car in Jabalya near Gaza City believed to be carrying Hamas operatives. The passengers in the car were not injured, but four bystanders were wounded.
