Palestinian fighters on Wednesday fired mortar rounds at Israeli forces near a refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip. The Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, said in a statement that four mortar rounds were fired at Israeli troops who had entered the territory east of the al-Bureij refugee camp.
The Israeli army said the shells landed in Israel without causing injuries or damage.
