Gas truck blast kills 3, injures 67 in Mexico City

ALBAWABA - A gas truck overturned on the road and exploded, killing at least three people and injuring 67 others in Mexico City on Wednesday, municipal officials explained.

Videos and photos were posted on social media showing the gas truck, which was carrying 49,500 liters of gas, on fire after overturning on the road in Mexico City.

The truck exploded on a bridge in the Iztapalapa district, leaving 19 people with second- and third-degree burns, Mexico City Mayor Clara Brugada announced Wednesday.

She then said that 67 injured people, including several children, were taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

AFP reported that multiple vehicles on the road were damaged in the explosion.
