GAM Completes Um Nowarah Park and Commences the Construction of a New Cell in AL Ghabawi Dumpsite

According to the Director of Supervision and Projects Department, Engineer Mohammed Kharabsheh, Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) started the construction of the third cell of Al Ghabawi dumpsite; the works of the third phase are expected to be completed by the end of next November.

In the same context, GAM will finish next May the project Hadikatokom (Your Park) in Um Nowarah neighborhood. The construction cost of the park, which is founded over a space area of 2 dunnums and a half, amounts to JOD 100.000.

The project includes putting up a sports playground with artificial grass and surrounded with metal fence, in addition to children’s playgrounds, spaces, passageways, colorful concrete and paved stadiums, benches, cement walls, lighting works, and water drainage system.

In cooperation with the Public Security Directorate, GAM is constructing 20 security metal kiosks in different locations of Amman city, including modern ones with a space area of 12 m2 each, by using light galvanized iron, mechanically fixed stone, aluminum boards and compact isolated partitions, glass works, isolation, electrical and sanitary installations.

Kharabsheh pointed out that GAM accomplished a maintenance campaign on many bridges, including extension partitions for bridges in Khalda, Al Marbat, Al Nasha, Safeway, Yajouz, and the Sports City Bridge.
