GAC has announced the signing of a sponsorship deal with racing driver Alex Brundle, the 17 year old son of legendary British F1 driver and Le Mans winner, Martin Brundle.
Competing in his second season of the Formula Palmer Audi Championship this year, Alex Brundle has already clinched three podiums this season and is currently just three points from third place at sixth position. At the world famous Spa race track in Belgium last month, father and son raced against each other under the GAC banner, and the pair enjoyed six out of six strong finishes in the top ten.
“It was a unique opportunity to experience the great Spa circuit again and to race against my son as he climbs the racing ladder,” commented Martin.
Alex Brundle started out in kart racing and soon progressed to the PalmerSport Junior T Car Saloon Series in 2006, aged just 15. Off track, he has just completed his A Levels in Business, Politics and Physics.
Proud association
Martin Brundle says: “We are both proud of our association with GAC and look forward to working together throughout this season and into the future.”
“Ongoing sports sponsorship collaborations play an essential part in increasing awareness of the GAC brand,” explains William Hill, GAC Group Vice-President, Logistics Services. “Our sponsorship of Alex parallels existing relationships with Crystal Palace FC, pro golfer Richard Sterne and Formula 3’s Viktor Jensen, and will carry the GAC brand into living rooms around the world.”
GAC customers can look forward to meeting the Group’s latest brand ambassador when he hosts client track days later this season.
