fvc wins perfect project award for diginet implementation at first secure enterprise summit in fujairah

Leading ISP for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia worked with FVC to implement Packeteer ISP solutions to provide cost effective solutions

FVC, the authorised regional distributor for Packeteer in Middle East and North Africa, won a Perfect Project Award for Best Client ROI/TCO during the recently concluded Secure Enterprise Summit (SES) held in Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort in Fujairah. FVC’s recognition comes for the implementation of Packeteer’s PacketShaper 10000 bandwidth management solution at DiGiNet, one of the leading ISPs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The new solution has not only improved its own bandwidth but has allowed the ISP to partner with FVC to offer bandwidth management solutions as a service to its corporate customers in the Kingdom.

“The Perfect Project Award for the Best Client ROI/TCO is presented to the project that received the highest number of votes from the participating CIOs and IT Managers from across the Middle East,” said Farouk Hemraj, co-founder, DISTREE Events. “The award aims to showcase a successful recent deployment, highlighting the total cost of ownership (TCO) and return on investment (ROI) benefits for the customer.”

“We are proud to win this award since it was voted by our peers and leading enterprises from around the region,” said K S Parag, Managing Director for FVC. “Our aim (as always) was to work with DiGiNet to help them achieve their goal of creating a global and seamless network of information super-highways that connect people and computers cost effectively and efficiently anytime, anywhere around the globe.”

The implementation helped DiGiNet take more than adequate measures to streamline its core business processes, in turn saving costs and providing better services to its customers. Since implementing the system, DiGiNet has slashed its international bandwidth costs by 40% and foresees a return on its investment in less than two years.
