fujitsu siemens computers continues upward trend during q3

Fujitsu Siemens Computers’ business in the region has continued its upward trend in Q307, and reported a year-on-year (YoY) growth of 45.2* percent in the Middle East and Africa region’s desktop and notebook market, according to analyst group IDC.

 

The company beat competition to clinch the number one position for desktop sales in Egypt and has experienced exponential YoY growth of 472* percent during Q307 compared to Q306, capturing 11* percent of Egypt’s desktop market share, while the market grew 6* percent.

 

Fujitsu Siemens Computers ranked among the top five notebook vendors in Saudi Arabia during the third quarter, and has registered a YoY growth of more than 542* percent, as stated in IDC’s preliminary results.  In the UAE, the company recorded a YoY growth of 173* percent increase in the notebook segment, while the market grew by 69* percent.

 

“Q3 has been a remarkable growth period for Fujitsu Siemens Computers, with contributing factors including the increase in demand for mobility devices, and the regional uptake of wireless connectivity. With the help of our in-country partners in the region, we have improved our market presence through channel activities, roadshows and workshops,” said Stephane Rejasse, Managing Director for the Middle East, Fujitsu Siemens Computers.

 

“We expect to see further increase in notebook sales with the arrival of the new ESPRIMO Mobile, and are confident that our new customer service initiatives will further drive market share throughout the region,” added Rejasse.

 

Fujitsu Siemens Computers has grown 45 per cent in MEA and has been ranked among the regions top desktop and notebook vendors by IDC for Q307.
