French Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Renaud Muselier arrived in the Bahraini capital of Manama on Wednesday for a two day visit, coming from Kuwait, in the framework of a regional tour.

In the course of his visit to Bahrain, the French minister is expected to convey a letter from French President Jaques Chirac to Bahraini King Sheikh Hamad bin Issa Al-Khalifa, focusing on the latest developments in the Middle East, anti-terrorism efforts and bilateral relations, KUNA said Wednesday.

The French Minister is currently on a tour of countries in the region, which already took him to the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait. He is also expected to visit Qatar and Oman.

During his visit to Kuwait, Muselier urged Iraqi President Saddam Hussein to respect international laws and the principle of non-intervention in internal affairs of states and noted that Saturday's speech further complicated Baghdad's status vis-a-vis the international community. (Albawaba.com)
