A court in France on Wednesday sentenced two Algerian men to life imprisonment for a chain of bombings, which took place in Paris in 1995 that killed eight people and injured 200 others.
Boualem Bensaid and Smain Ait Ali Belkacem are already serving ten-year jail terms in connection with the attacks.
They were convicted in the year 1999 of belonging to Algeria's Armed Islamic Group (GIA), a group deemed a "terrorist" organization by both Paris and Washington, AFP said.
Bensaid greeted his conviction Wednesday by shouting out - "Allah Akhbar, God is Greatest."
The Algerian men were accused of planting three bombs in Paris between July and October 1995. They have several days to file an appeal. (Albawaba.com)
