ALBAWABA - At least 10 people were injured after a man, 35, rammed his car into pedestrians and cyclists in Oleron, a French Atlantic island, AFP confirmed on Wednesday.
According to French prosecutor Arnaud Laraize, the man "deliberately hit several pedestrians and cyclists" along a main road, and when he was being arrested by the police, he shouted in Arabic, "God is the greatest".
Authorities are investigating him for alleged "attempted murder", and the reason behind the attack is still unknown, Laraize added.
On the other hand, the Mayor of Dolus d'Oleron said that the suspect was a resident.
