Fourteen people were killed and 35 others were injured in several incidents in Baghdad and Diyala province, police sources said Wednesday.
In Baghdad, a police source told Anadolu Agency that six people were killed and 25 others were injured in four separate improvised bomb attacks in Jisr Diyala, al-Mahmoudiya, al-Wardiyah and al-Shaab districts.
Also, security forces found unidentified two bodies in the areas of Um al-Kuber Wa al-Ghazlan and Ur.
Meanwhile, five civilians were killed in Diyala province and ten others were injured in a motorcycle bomb north of Baqubah.
In recent years, bombings and shooting attacks – which often target civilians – have become a common occurrence in war-torn Iraq, especially Baghdad.
Iraq has suffered a devastating security vacuum since June 2014, when Daesh overran the northern city of Mosul, the country’s second largest city.
