Four Jordanian captives held by Israel plan hunger strike

Four Jordanian captives interned in the Israeli Damon jail have announced their intention to go on an open-ended hunger strike as of Monday protesting the Israeli government's rejection to release them, the Palestinian Prisoners' Club (PPC) reported.

"We inform you that we would wage a hunger strike as of Monday in protest over our continuous detention by the Israeli authorities despite the fact that our imprisonment terms had already ended. Therefore, we won't halt the strike till our release or death," the club quoted the inmates as saying.

The inmates called on Jordanian King Abdullah II to work for their release from the Israeli notorious jails, the PPC stressed.
