Four dead and 19 wounded in Afghanistan suicide attack

At least four civilians were killed and 19 others wounded in a suicide attack in the Siah Gird district of central Parwan province on Tuesday, an official said.

Parwan police chief Brig. Gen. Mohammad Zaman Mamozai told Pajhwok Afghan News the suicide attack was carried out by a motorcyclist in the district center around 9am.

All the victims were civilians, he said. Abdul, a former Jihadi commander from the district, confirmed majority of the victims were schoolchildren.

He said a number of people injured had been evacuated to the Siah Gird clinic and some others to Parwan Civil Hospital.
