Former Iraqi information minister Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf said Saturday he believes deposed Iraqi president Saddam Hussein is making plans from his hiding place to win back control of Iraq.
"I don't know where he is now, but he is definitely in Iraq," he told Deutsche Presse-Agentur in Abu Dhabi after leaving Iraq overnight. Authorities in the United Arab Emirates have reportedly allowed him to stay in the country for a lengthy period.
"I never thought or imagined that Baghdad would fall so easily," he said,. "I was really very frustrated when I saw the Baath leadership disappear in the blink of an eye." (Albawaba.com)
