Jordan's King Abdullah II is expected to pay an official visit to Syria soon, Foreign Minister Marwan Al-Muashar said, cited by a Jordanian daily. Al-Muashar did not mention the date of the expected visit.
Last month, a diplomatic row broke out between Amman and Damascus after King Abdullah II told CNN that the borders between Syria and Iraq were too porous.
Meanwhile, Al-Muashar also told Al-Arab Al-Yawm that Israel's Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom is due to visit Jordan late January.
"The visit [of the Israeli minister] will not result in returning the Jordanian Ambassador to Tel Aviv unless conditions that led to this measure will improve." (Albawaba.com)
