Five Killed, Eight Injured in Traffic Accident in Iran

Five people were killed on Saturday, and eight others were injured, when a minibus collided with and a trailer truck in the Iranian province of Lorestan, reported the official Iranian news agency (IRNA). 

Local police said that the cause of the accident was the excessive speed of the minibus.  

Iranian roads are notorious for fatal accidents, with one person killed or injured on average every 40 minutes and seven minutes, respectively, said IRNA – Albawaba.com
