Bahrain will have the first woman ambassador appointed to the country when Hilal Baskal takes up the post of the new Turkish envoy to Manama, reported the Bahrain Tribune on Saturday.
Baskal currently serves the post of deputy director-general at the department of protocol in Turkey, said the Tribune.
She has served on diplomatic postings in Washington, The Hague, Zurich and Skopje – Albawaba.com
