ALBAWABA - The Israeli Embassy in Washington released the first image of the two staff members who were killed on Wednesday night in the shooting attack outside the Capital Jewish Museum in DC.
Earlier, the Washington police said that the suspect was identified as Elias Rodriguez, 30, from Chicago, according to CNN. An eyewitness revealed that Elias Rodriguez waited for the police to come for about 10 minutes before saying he "did it for Gaza."
The Embassy wrote on X: "Yaron and Sarah were our friends and colleagues. They were in the prime of their lives." "The entire embassy staff is heartbroken and devastated by their murder. No words can express the depth of our grief and horror at this devastating loss," it added.

"Our hearts are with their families, and the embassy will be by their side during this terrible time," the post continued.
Home Secretary Kristi Noem said, "Two Israeli Embassy staff were senselessly killed tonight near the Jewish Museum in Washington, DC. We are actively investigating and working to get more information to share. Please pray for the families of the victims. We will bring this depraved perpetrator to justice."
