The first open auction for a selection of “special” number-plates in Dubai is due to start at Dubai Police Officers Club at 10 Sunday morning, reported Khaleej Times.
Officials were quoted by the paper as saying that applicants’ bids would be accepted at the club and also on the Internet.
The officials said the second auction, for 72 number-plates, would take place at the same venue on June 5. The numbers will include 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 and other two-digit numbers from 12 to 98. The officials reported good response from people for the inaugural auction.
