Firm Plans to Assemble Sony TVs in Algeria

The private electronics company Maxwell-Algeria plans to assemble Sony televisions in Algeria for the domestic market, the African Journal reported. 

The assembly plant will be located in the town of El Bouni in the eastern city of Annaba, and will employ up to 150 workers, the daily said. 

Maxwell, which already produces refrigerators, air conditioning systems and other durable goods in its Oum El Bouaghi plant, says it will assemble some 10,000 Sony TV sets a year – Albawaba.com
