ALBAWABA - A blaze hit an elderly care home on the outskirts of the Serbian capital Belgrade, leaving 6 killed, police confirmed on Monday.
The Serbian police added that several others were injured in the fire in the Belgrade care home. It further noted that the seven injured in the fire are getting treatment at Belgrade's military hospital.
"This is a great tragedy but it could have been much worse," Luka Causic, a police officer overseeing emergency services in the area reported.
The policeman also detailed that the blaze occurred at about 3:30 a.m. local time.
Firefighters didn't reveal the cause of the fire, but investigations are underway to determine the real reason behind it.
