ALBAWABA - Fire still raging at an oil depot in Fujairah, UAE, one day after it was hit by debris from an intercepted Iranian drone,
According to Al Jazeera, the oil depot was hit by the remains of a drone launched by Iran targeting the UAE. The latest attack comes amid a series of incidents planned to affect energy facilities in the Middle East.
Emirati Civil Defense units are working to control the fire, the Fujairah Media Office said in a post on X.
Moreover, Bloomberg mentioned that another blaze erupted in the area earlier Tuesday, while operations at a major storage terminal and an oil refinery were suspended a day earlier.
The oil and energy fields across the world were shaken by the latest events in the Middle East espicelly after Saudi Arabia's biggest refinery and the world's largest liquefied natural gas export plant in Qatar halted operations, were targeted by drones. In addition to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz by the Iranian army (IRGC).
