ALBAWABA - The government of Fiji has officially announced the opening of its embassy in Israel within a year, making it the 98th embassy to open in Israel. The Southern Pacific nation has been deepening its ties with Israel over the years in a variety of fields including agriculture and security.

Fiji wasted no chances in emphasizing its endorsement of Israel, whether it is by positively voting for Israel in international forums or offering full cooperation when it comes to executing joint projects between the two countries.

According to the official statement, the choice was made with strong political backing and is a continuation of Fiji's positive relationship with Israel in the areas of agriculture, security, and peacekeeping.
