ALBAWABA- Two explosions were reported near the Ain Al-Asad Airbase, which houses American forces in western Iraq. 

An Iraqi security source told Al Jazeera that at least one missile landed inside the Ain Al-Asad base, which houses American forces affiliated with the coalition.

The base, hosting US forces, is frequently targeted by pro-Iranian Iraqi resistance groups. 

It has seen an increase in attacks following the Israeli aggression in Gaza and southern Lebanon since October 7.
