ALBAWABA- Two explosions were reported near the Ain Al-Asad Airbase, which houses American forces in western Iraq.
An Iraqi security source told Al Jazeera that at least one missile landed inside the Ain Al-Asad base, which houses American forces affiliated with the coalition.
The base, hosting US forces, is frequently targeted by pro-Iranian Iraqi resistance groups.
It has seen an increase in attacks following the Israeli aggression in Gaza and southern Lebanon since October 7.
Notably, four explosions occurred at the base on July 26, a day before the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, Head of Hamas Political Bureau, in Tehran.
