ALBAWABA - A blast targeted a bus that belongs to the Syrian armed forces, killing at least five soldiers and injuring 13 others, Alarabyia reported on Thursday.

Sources reported that five Syrian soldiers were killed and 13 were wounded when an explosive device exploded on a bus in Deir ez-Zor, in the east of the country.

In turn, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that "a military bus belonging to the Ministry of Defense was targeted by an explosive device planted by unknown individuals, likely affiliated with ISIS cells, on the main road between the cities of Deir ez-Zor and al-Mayadeen, near the village of Sa'lu in the eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside."

The Observatory added that the death toll is expected to increase, as there were wounded, some of whom were in critical condition.
