In addition, local media added that at least 7 people were injured in the blast that rocked a facility in the capital.
Videos were posted on social media showing debris covering a large area following the explosion in Afen Plaza center, with rescue teams seen investigating the reason behind the blast and treating wounded people.
The blast could have happened due to a gas leak, Minval Politika reported on its Telegram channel.
The owner of the Afen Plaza building, Abulfat Aliyev, said, "There is no gas in this building. A gas pipe was damaged on the road in front of the building. As a result, a gas leak occurred under the building."
