ALBAWABA - An explosion reportedly took place in the city of Mashhad in Iran, causing a huge fire, social media reports revealed on Sunday.
A video was posted on X showing a massive black smoke rising into the sky in the Iranian city of Mashhad following an alleged explosion at a factory.
The reason behind the fire is unknown, nor did any Iranian official reveal a clear statement about the situation.
An Israeli website revealed that yesterday night, an explosion was heard at a power plant in the Iranian city of Karaj, according to footage posted online.
On the other hand, in April, a blast took place at the Port of Bandar Abbas, leaving at least 70 people killed and injuring more than 1,000 people.
According to The Washington Post, it happened due to a chemical fire that started in a shipping container, as confirmed by visual evidence and explosives experts.
