Emirates Telecommunications Corp (Etisalat) announced Monday discounts on three core data services that will allow its business customers to save up to 40 percent, reported the Gulf News.
The three data services to which the discount is applicable are asynchronous transfer mode (ATM), frame relay and leased circuit.
The discounts may mean huge savings for medium and large businesses that transfer data around a network, such as banks, healthcare services, oil and gas companies, educational institutions and government departments, said the paper.
"These discounts mean that our data transmission rates are the cheapest in the Gulf Cooperation Council and among the most competitive in the world," said Mohammed Al Fahim, executive vice-president of marketing.
The discounts will further improve the competitiveness and efficiency of UAE businesses, but they were also designed to reward Etisalat's many corporate customers and to encourage more companies to take advantage of the latest in IT and communications solutions, he said – Albawaba.com
