The Sharjah Airport International Free Zone
Authority (SAIF-Zone Authority) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding
(MoU) with Etisalat Facilities Management, a member of Etisalat Services
Holding, to provide consultancy services for facilities management services
and to help reduce energy consumption across its operations.
The MoU was signed at SAIF-Zone Authority Head Offices by Mr. Mustafa Ahmed
Al Ateek, General Manager of Etisalat Facilities Management, and Mr. Khalid
Al Midfaa, Assistant Director General for Financial and Administration
Affairs, SAIF-Zone Authority.
The agreement between Etisalat Facilities Management and the SAIF-Zone
Authority marks a major strategic cooperation between the governmental and
semi-governmental sectors in the UAE which will reflect positively on all
aspects of development in the country.
Commenting on this agreement, Mustafa Al Ateek said: “This partnership is a
case study for all national organizations in the UAE and we are looking
forward to cooperate with Sharjah Airport International Free Zone in
efficiently growing the level of services they provide to their investment
partners; specially that Etisalat Facilities Management has accomplished
significant growth in the field of FM & Energy Management”.
Mustafa Al Ateek continued: “According to the World Energy Council, the
UAE is the sixth country world wide and the first among GCC nations in
terms of energy consumption. This partnership is extremely important for
the SAIF-Zone Authority, as it will provide the organization significant
savings in terms of energy consumption and supports the government’s many
efforts in terms of controlling the consumption of energy. Within the terms
of the agreement we will provide SAIF-Zone Authority with consultation and
standards which will help them in controlling the consumption of their
resources.”
Khalid Al Midfaa said: “Signing this agreement with Etisalat Facilities
Management reflects our aspiration to enhance both the quality of the
services we provide to the investors at the Free Zone, and also the
efficiency in the way that we deliver these services. We aim to complete
the study as soon as possible and review the recommendations in order to
start a new stage in the management of our facilities. This will reflect
the strategic plan initiated by the Sharjah Airport International Free Zone
Authority and confirms our management’s commitment to provide comprehensive
services to the investors.”
Etisalat Facilities Management was established in the year 2007, after the
merger of Etisalat’s specialised maintenance teams responsible for
